Pole Series Classes


INTRO to Pole – TAKING PART IN A REGULAR CLASS
(under the "CLASS" tab) or ALL BEGINNER WORKSHOP (under the "WORKSHOP" tab)  – Come experience what pole fitness has to offer. If you register under the "Class" tab, you will join a regular class in progress and learn the group skills being taught for that week (scaled appropriately for you as a beginner). If you register under the "WORKSHOP" tab, you will be in a workshop of all new beginners.  All Beginner WORKSHOPS are scheduled every 2-3 weeks at each studio location and are the recommended format for you as a beginner.
  • All beginners are asked to schedule their first visit with us as an INTRO to Pole CLASS (taking part in a regular class) or INTRO to Pole WORKSHOP (all Beginner Workshop). If you have experience with another program, please call the studio to have this requirement waived.  Experienced students will blend into the class at their current appropriate level.

POLE SERIES Classes (90 minutes) – Our flagship program is WORLD-CLASS and is the heart and soul of what we offer. These amazing classes promote overall mind/body well-being and fitness by incorporating yoga, pilates, and strength training to build strength, flexibility, self confidence and overall fitness – all while focusing on sensuality. Classes teach an increasing progression of floor and pole dance tricks and transitions. 

  • Pole Series classes are designed for EVERY WOMAN, regardless of age, shape or size.
  • Through time, you will progress through stages, with each stage building strength and confidence for exciting new twists and turns ahead. Our world class instruction can take you from absolute beginner to aerial acrobat and competitive athlete - and if you wish to keep your feet on the ground, that's ok, too. You move at your own pace with the support of our instruction team. 
  • All classes are mixed level, thereby making our entire class schedule at both studio locations available to you - and NOT requiring you to commit to a fixed day or time. You will be challenged and trained appropriately at your given level.
  • Levels at OC Pole Fitness are NOT explicit..we offer a fully competitive, world class training program - everything from sensual floorwork to walking, spinning, endless combinations, climbing, and progression to world-class competitive acrobatic forms, including Scorpio, Gemini, Aysha, Twisted Grip Handsprings, Horizontal Splits, and Superman somersaults to Scorpio combinations and more -- but without competitive pressure and an expressed hierarchical level system. Our environment is supportive, challenging, creative, fun, and safe.  You progress at your own pace under the supervision of our expertly trained staff and in a social climate the supports, rejuvenates, and energizes the soul.
Pole Series - BASICS - This class is specially designed for the woman who is new to pole dance fitness or wants a Pole Basics immersion to brush up on foundational aspects of pole dance fitness. Learn foundational spins and moves, floor work, and other movements to tempt, tease and TONE. All of our regular classes are multi-level and provide something for everyone...and this class just slows instruction down a little bit and gets back to basics to make you comfortable with foundational movements as you continue to acquire skills throughout our program. And, as always....get an amazing workout at every class you take here at OC Pole Fitness!
 
Alternative Fitness Classes
 
AERIAL HOOP – Also known as the Aerial Ring/Lyra, the Aerial Hoop is a steel hoop or ring suspended from the ceiling. Acrobatic, strength, and flexibility maneuvers are performed statically, spinning or swinging. The female form is complimented by the sphere of the hoop, and you will strive to achieve graceful, flexible positions at varying heights. Please wear pants or leggings for this class. This is a beautiful, inspiring, graceful art that will strengthen and tone the entire body.
 
AERIAL TISSUAerial silks, also known as tissu, ribbon or fabric, is a beautiful aerial acrobatic art where a performer hangs and performs acrobatics while suspended by a special fabric. You will learn the basics of aerial silks, including how to safely climb suspended fabric using special wrapping techniques and pull your body into and out of various positions. Further classes will progress on to harder and more advanced moves. You will LOVE this fun, challenging, and visually-stunning artistic display. Please wear pants or leggings for this class. Like all of our classes, this class is designed for everyday women - but more specifically requires some ability to partially lift body weight. Recommended for women who are currently strength training in our core pole curriculum or who engage in some form of weight bearing fitness activity. A terrific workout with tremendously stunning artistic form. You will love this beautiful, elegant and challenging class.

BODY BAR - LUSCIOUS LEGS, ARMS, ABS & BUTT -  This smartly designed 4 week series has it all and will DELIVER THE RESULTS YOU ARE LOOKING FOR!

OC Pole Fitness meets the Bar Method, Yoga Booty Ballet, standard personal training and Boot Camps, and more.   NO POLE KNOWLEDGE OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED - THE POLE IS ONLY USED AS A STATIONARY BODY BAR FITNESS DEVICE.  Come experience a boot camp that uses traditional concepts in not so traditional ways.  We will use the floor, mats, swiss balls, the poles, resistance bands, and more to whip into shape.  Expect to work hard and have fun...and expect RESULTS!

Chair Dancing combines the art of sensual dance with hip hop flavor, sensual rolls and twists, and sexy gestures to deliver a cardio blasting core and overall body workout. Use our chairs as your "dance partner" to create an eye-catching performance with a fun cardio and booty workout! You will learn poses, spins, chair pivots and more at a pace everyone can follow. After a few classes, you may never look at your kitchen chair the same again! No pole or dance experience is needed. We will guide you every step of the way. For the EVERYDAY woman!!!
 
FLEXIBILITY - CHINESE SPLIT & JOINTS - Flexibility is a key pillar of overall well-being, health, body alignment, and symmetry - and OC Pole Fitness trained with our good friends and world renowned Master Flexibility Experts, The Valentino Brothers to deliver THE VERY BEST. The Valentino Brothers system is best executed by taking two flexibility classes each week (one of each type below): 1) Front Split and Spine Stretching System - This state-of-the-art program, we help you increase flexibility in the hamstrings and facilitate the training for Front Split. With the combination of stretching exercises for the Spine, it will help you achieve the normal flexibility in the Spine, preventing injuries caused by stiffness of the spinal muscles. 2) Side Split and Joints Stretching System - This amazing program helps you increase flexibility in the inner thighs (adductors), and, with the combination of stretching exercises for the joints, it will facilitate your progress for the Side Split. With this program, exercises are placed in a specific order, and each one of them prepares your muscles for the next one.

 OPEN POLE (FREESTYLE PRACTICE SESSION) – This is your private time to practice on your own. Must have taken at least 5 classes with OC Pole Fitness. Minimal supervision. No inversions unless an instructor is there to supervise you or you have been inverting under OC Pole Fitness guidelines for a minimum of 6 months. A great way to stay in shape and get intensive pole time!

YOGA - FLOW & FIRM - This beautifully innovative Vinyasa Yoga method blends seamlessly with the sensual OC Pole Fitness signature. Instinctive, fluid movement is combined with the slow, gentle, and challenging Hatha sequences most commonly practiced in main stream Yoga classes today. The result is an exhilarating program that relaxes the mind and detoxifies the body while placing emphasis on breath, balance, flexibility, and flow. In these 60 minute classes you will be guided through a warm up to awaken the body and clear the mind, a challenging but easy to follow work out to burn calories, and a rewarding cool down to stretch and surrender. By the end of each class, you will have burned calories, improved endurance, increased flexibility and circulation, detoxified your internal organs, and reset your brain.

YOGA - SCULPT & TONE - Our popular Flow & Firm class just got more intense! This calorie melting class is perfect to add some spice to your yoga practice or add variety to your fitness program. Imagine moving through similar Vinyasa sequences with added resistance using weighted yoga balls in each hand while you flow from one posture to the next with interval power blasts and isometric pressure. You’ll work muscles you never know you had all while reaping the endless health benefits of a yoga practice. In just 60 minutes, you will incinerate calories, build muscle to increase strength and stamina, improve your flexibility, and change the look of your body. Each class will move you through a warm up to prepare the body for increased activity, a workout to build long, lean muscle and burn fat, and a cool down to relax, reflect, and replenish.
